News and Announcements

The Fall 2021 season will run September 13 – November 18, 2021. Registration for all leagues will open online at www.rrtennis.com at 8:00 am, Saturday, August 21.

Some things to remember:

· Look for the “Register Now” button on the left side of the home page at www.rrtennis.com
· If you log on before 8:00 am, you may need to refresh your browser until the button/link appears.
· If you have not already paid your annual RRTA dues for 2021, please add “Membership Dues” to your “shopping cart”.
· Mixed Doubles players must be registered as a TEAM with the cost of both players for that league bundled into one transaction. The other partner must also log in to pay their annual dues. Both partners must pay annual dues before the season begins or their spot may be given to another team.
· If a league fills up, you can request to be put on the wait list. Please do this. The Ramrod for each league will confirm if they can include you. You will not pay until you are transferred to the league and you will be notified.
· Do not choose “accept” at the end of registration to join the Active Advantage Membership, unless you want to. This is not required and is separate from RRTA.

We also want to invite everyone to the RRTA Fall Mixer on Saturday, September 11 at Old Settlers Park, 6:30pm – 9:00pm.

The City of Round Rock is proposing a new indoor Rec Center possibly located on the hill in Old Settlers Park by the Rock N River. We have been asked to send out the survey below for our constituents to complete.

Please complete the survey by July 4 to have your input considered. Any mention of more tennis courts would be much appreciated.

From the city:

Hello all—

The City is performing a Needs Assessment for a new indoor recreation center. This assessment will include an evaluation of the existing recreation center, as well as a market study of the surrounding community, and user needs, wants, and wishes. Through the process the City will be able to identify and quantify space prioritization for a possible new recreation center as well as renovation of the existing facility to balance the indoor recreation needs of Round Rock.

The City would love to incorporate your feedback to help determine what programs/spaces residents want to see offered. Please take a moment to fill out this survey (link below) to tell us what YOU want to see in your next recreation center.

Join us this Saturday night, 6:30pm June 12, at Old Settlers tennis courts for the Summer Round Rock Tennis Association mixer. This is a social mixer for adults interested in tennis in the Round Rock area. Bring your rackets and a chair for socializing!

Round Rock Tennis Association will provide food, drinks, cans of tennis balls and an informal evening of social tennis. Open to members and non-members alike. For more information or to contact RRTA visit www.rrtennis.com.

We hope to see you there!

Hello All,

We are so excited to see everyone this weekend. Here are a couple of updates:

We are monitoring the weather (and have prayed to the tennis gods). Please check your email Saturday morning for weather updates. If we do get rained out on Saturday, the plan is to push everything to Sunday and play a shortened format.

Please check the draws frequently to verify your match times (some match times have changed)
