Many of you have asked about sign-up for the Spring season. As Banks A & B are now demoed with construction underway, the board is working to determine what the options may be for courts and dates for Spring. We hope to have more news after the board meeting on Feb. 9th. Please check here for updates as we get them.

Dear RRTA members and friends,

Round Rock Parks and Rec has informed me that they will begin court repairs at the end of January on Banks A & B at Old Settlers. As this leaves only four courts on a first come first serve basis, and we do not reserve courts for Polar Bear, we regretfully feel we must chancel Polar Bear as there are no other reliable court options.

RRPaRD believes that all courts will be ready for Spring and we will have great courts to play on. Although there is no firm completion date at this time, we will do our best to inform the membership as we get word.

Thanks for your understanding. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Round Rock Tennis Association and the board.

Yogi Reagor
President

We will not be able to have an organized Polar Bear league this year as we will be down to 4 courts at Old Settlers due to repairs. If you would like to play among yourselves, please organize some fun, rec play. Happy Holidays to all. We will keep you posted on the court repairs and the spring season.

Email sent out to members October 9, 2019

Greetings RRTA members,

At the end of this year, 2 of our board members will be stepping down from their seats, creating open positions on the Round Rock Tennis Association Board of Directors. We need volunteers to replace those open seats.

Responsibilities of board members include attending 4 meetings per year, making decisions on RRTA policies and procedures pertaining to leagues and tournament, approving disbursement of funds as needed, and assisting with planning and implementation of RRTA activities and programming. If you have any further questions on roles/responsibilities, feel free to speak to any board member. A list of current board members can be viewed here.

If you are interested in volunteering on the board, we are now accepting any current RRTA member as candidates. In order to have your name listed for consideration, please reply to this email (info.rrtennis@gmail.com) stating your interest. We will be accepting nominations until October 25.

In your response to info.rrtennis@gmail.com, please share some pertinent information about yourself. Feel free to provide brief responses to the following questions:

*How long have you been in RRTA?*

What RRTA or other league(s) do you play in?

Do you have any other board experience?

Any other relevant info?

Later in October or early November, we will send a follow-up email listing the candidates and asking members to vote for the 2 open positions.

We would like to thank Barbara McGary and Sandra Smith for their years of service!
